Last Friday Favourites- August Edition

Hey Everyone,
I hope you are all well; I have actually pre-typed this post so that when I'm away I am able to post it on time if I have reception/internet while I'm gone. So I hope I can do so.
Can you all believe it is already the end of August? I can't and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing yet.
Anyway let's start my Last Friday Favourites of August.

1. Music Favs of the month as usual...
  • The new BADLANDS album by Halsey, I love the songs on there, she is an amazing artist
  • Cool For The Summer by Demi Lovato.
  • Hey Violets, 'I Can Feel It EP, I know this was release like a month ago, but I just got it and love it.
  • 5 Seconds of Summer- Jet Black Heart and Fly Away from their new coming album Sounds Good, Feels Good. I am looking extremely forward to this next album.

2. My new Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, I got this from the Priceline Sale last week, it is actually one of many things I got... Maybe I'll do a makeup haul post when I get back if anyone wants and some reviews?

3. Also from this haul I finally got BABY SKIN PRIMER!!! Ahhhh I have wanted to try this for so long and have been patiently waiting for I don't even know how long.

4. Since I had such great results with the tea tree face wash for The Body Shop and it is their 25th birthday for the range, so therefore they had larger bottle sizes I went and got a bottle of the Tee Tree Facial Toner and Blemish Eraser. I can honestly say that these are some of the best face products I have used on my skin, they are working wonders.

5. Along with these products I have been using The Body Shop face buffer, it is like a light exfoliation and just makes your face feel extra clean afterwards.

I will post my travel blog post when I get home, but am still posting on Instagram while away. I can't wait to share with you all my adventures!
Have an amazing day/night

Last Friday Favourites - July Edition

HELLO ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE READING THIS!
YOU ARE AMAZING, BECAUSE YOU ARE YOU!!!
I just thought I would remind you all of this.

And yes, you are right. Today is actually Saturday, the first of August, however I was extremely busy yesterday and therefore not able to write up Last Friday Favourites - July Edition.
So, lets get to it.

Number 1: So this month there has been some great music released, so I am going to share a list of my absolute favs and others songs I have dug up.

  1. 'She's Kinda Hot' by 5sos, now if you haven't heard this song listen to it. It is different to their other stuff, but is leaning to other bands which I love and I'm pretty sure it is because they have been writing with them.
  2. Like I'm Gonna Loose You ft. John Legend by Megan Trainor. A great song.
  3. Adam Lambert, 'Ghost Town' form his new album.
  4. 'Drag Me Down' by One Direction, this surprise song was only released yesterday and I can't deny I love it.
  5. Forbidden Envy have released a new song called 'End Of Time'. These guys are an  Aussie alternative rock band and are pretty cool, you should check 'em out.

Second for this month would definitely be my Body Shop, Tea Tree Skin Clearing Face Cleanser, it not only freshens, cleans and reduces excess oil, but is a anti bacterial so it clears up most blemishes and reduces breakouts. It isn't harsh on the skin and after a few days of use I could already see a huge difference. I have been using it for over a month, my face is looking clearer and brighter, i have also had far fewer breakouts.
there is a foaming wash available as well, which I am told is exactly the same formula.

Third is another cosmetic, NSPA Peach Shower and Bath Gel. I have mentioned this brand before in a previous Last Friday Favourite, were I talked about their coconut scrub and how I wanted to purchase the Peach Shower Gel, I made a good choice. It is just as great, it smells amazing, includes natural vitamins and it just makes you happy.

Forth is Blu Tack, I have recently used so much blu tack to stick some photos up and I just thought I would let it know its appreciated it.

Five is pumpkin pie. It is amazing and if you have never tried it before I suggest you do.

Thank you all so much
I hope you enjoyed it. If you have or want to get any of these products let me know in the comments below.

MACAROON RECIPE

Hello,
As you may have noticed, today is Friday and I have decided to share a recipe with you all...
You may have guessed it already, Macaroons.

The shells I am making are just plain so you add your own twist to them, but I have decided to put in a caramel filling, specifically Dulce de Leche filling ( I am pretty sure that's what it is called). So lets get started:

INGREDIENTS and EQUIPTMENT- for the macaroon shells

  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 cup of Castor Sugar
  • Food Colouring of your choice
  • 200g of Almond Meal
  • 1/2 cups of Icing Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 tea spoon of Vanilla Essence
  • Large Bowl
  • Sieve
  • Spatula
  • 2 Trays
  • Baking Paper
  • Electric Mixer
  • Measuring Cups
  • Large Cup

METHOD
  1. Stay sanitary and pull back long hair (I'm sure you daont want to pull it out of your macaroon) and wash your hands!
  2. Pre-Heat oven to 160  degrees Celsius
  3. Separate your eggs, egg whites in a large bowl and yolks in a smaller bowl ( my dog likes them mixed with his biscuits or you could make custard...)

4. Whisk with an electric mixer on high, gradually adding in the castor sugar, until eggs become stiff and can form white peaks. If your game enough try and hold it upside down above your head. At this point mix in your choice of colour to the egg whites- you can use the electric mixure for a few sweconds and it should be done or fold in with a spatula

If you can't tell, that last photo is me holding the egg whites that where turned pink, upside- down without them falling out. I was so proud, they always fall/spill when I try this.

5. Mix your almond meal, icing sugar and salt, the sieve it into your egg whites. Mixcarefully with a spatula.

    6. Prepare trays by placing a sheet of baking paper on them and just to be sure, lightly spray them with some oil.
    7. Fill your piping bag with the mixture. To do this I put the bag in a huge cup and fold the edges over the rim so it looks like this...

It is heaps easier, then just scoop the mixture into the bag, twist the end and if you want these pegs can keep it closed so it doesn't come out the top. Cut the bag about 1cm from the tip.

    8. Pipe onto the trays so they are about 3cm in diameter, make sure you space them out a bit so they have some room to grow if they need.

9.If There are little peaks on you soon to be shells you can dip your fingers in water then smooth them over.

    10. Let them sit for about an hour before you put them in the oven.
bake them for 30 minutes and then let them cool completely before you fill them.

    11. Once cool, take a small spoon of filling and put it on one shell, squish another half on top and TAH DAH, A MACAROON!

Hope you enjoyed it, I think you will find this a little more detailed than my last recipe post. They may not be the prettiest but they taste good :)
MY next post might be the recipe for the Dulce de Leche filling, it is so simple, OR a list of some great up and coming Aussie bands I have been stumbling upon on YouTube and Instagram.
P.S I have 250 followers on Bloglovin' , 45 followers on Instagram and 19 on Pinterest, YAY THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
    Also Happy Birthday Ashton.

    Last Friday Favourites - JUNE

    HI,
Today is Monday but I accidentally forgot to post on Friday because I did a catch up post and was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award and posted that on the day ( In which I mentioned how State Champs liked my post... Yeah, I'm still not over that), so... Here is Last Friday Favourites of June on a  Monday!
Oh, P.S. Yes, I know my lighting is terrible.

    First:
My new random Huge Cup from Movie World, I was meant to be able to get free refills with it and I was like YES! Then I didn't finish it until the end of the day, when we were about to leave and the stall had closed by then  :( At least I got to keep the cup.

Second, Music; Little Sea's new EP 'With You, Without You', this actually only came out like 2 days ago but I already love it. State Champs music, I liked them before but after hearing them live they are even better and 5sos's new song Permanent Vacation.

Third: This cute charger I had to buy while I was away because I was smart and left mine at home. You  can change the adapter and each end is magnetic, so you can hang it off things. Also lets appreciate the cute colour and pattern. it was Originally $20 and I was like 'put down carefully, do not drop or break...' but then I saw another with a sale sticker, and another, and another... so I got the price checked and it was like $5 or something.

Fourth: This Giant hand which I got from the concert because who doesn't need one? I mean they have so many uses:

    • Use as a pillow
    • Look at and reminisce the event
    • Display
    • Use as a hat
    • Try and reach something ( As it adds about 20 cm onto the length of you arm it may make you tall enough to reach something, you can t actually move the fingers  get what you needed, I find just pushing the said object off and use the cushioning of the hand to catch it)
    • Get people attention
    • Etc.

Fifth: Thais handbag sized Diary/planner thing, I decided a while ago it would probably help if I was organised so I have been looking for one but they have either been way to over priced, too big or not the best looking/condition. As it is half way through the year this was on sale for a grand total of $2 at Typo, is in a cute light blue colour and a convenient size.

Now hopefully my post will be somewhat planned and organised as well as my life. So, that should be good.

That is the end Of Last Friday Favourites of June on a Monday, hope you enjoyed.
What is your current favourite music? Let me know in the comments below :)

    Hi Lovely People,
    I hope you are well.
So, guess what. As most of you should know by now, I recently got an Instagram page and I have about 10 followers on there; through this I have found that  posts about 5 Seconds of Summer and Chihuahua pups are most popular to get people who are not following you to look at your page, which I found interesting and... STATE CHAMPS LIKED MY POST!!! I kind of had a fangirl moment and so I had to share it with you all :)

Anyway, back onto the original topic.

    5 SECONDS OF SUMMER

    Hello Everybody,
How are you all goin'? Yes, I am back!!!
So if you follow me on Instagram, you would notice I didn't post that much over the past week, sorry about that, I was planning too. I didn't even say where I was because I thought I mentioned that in my last post (I didn't and am sorry, you may have been a bit confused...). Anyway, I was in Brisbane to visit a friend and see 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER and STATE CHAMPS!!!

It was an amazing show and great holiday, so obviously this post is going to be about the trip.

So I flew down in the early morning of Thursday  to Brisbane and from there went straight to the Gold Coast, that day we didn't do much, walked around and explored. The next day we went to Movie World, we went on almost every ride except the huge Green Lantern and Batman rides because they were closed that day. When we were about to go on the superman, literally next in line (After waiting over half an hour) there was a "technical difficulty" so it was closed, it was so frustrating. The people that were on it before were okay though, so it was all good.
Did another loop of the rides and eventually came back and it was working so we lined up again, we got to actually go on this time. My goodness, it was so fun and scary and every other word you can use to describe a roller coaster. I'm glad I ended up going on it.
Besides the Superman ride, most lines were short and we were almost able to walk strait or not wait very long.

The day after we went to Bounce, I think I mentioned this place in another post. It is a huge building just filled with trampolines and giant pillows and cool things so you can do tricks. It is heaps of fun, even if you like me and the best trick you can do is jump high and then land on the tramp sitting down, then jump back up. It doesn't matter your skill level, I totally recommend going. We went shopping after this because you pay by the hour.

We went to Time Zone, an arcade, one of the days and it is so much fun. You pay your choice of money for as card which gives you points and keeps your tickets. some games you can play as much as you want and others there is a limit. You can also get access to Laser Skirmish, Dodgem Cars, Mini Golf, Simulators, etc. Then at the end you count you tickets and trade it in for some prizes, I got a small basketball, a world stress ball and a marble. After this we went to Infinite, I sort of maze thing, I don't really know how to describe it. You go through a set of themed rooms and have to find the door, there are no normal lights if there are lights at all, do not go in if you a claustrophobic or scared of the dark. its heaps of fun though. To finish the day we walked around, looked at some shops and walked past the beach (It was far too cold to go for a swim though)

One night we decided to go to a drive in movie, so much fun. It was freezing though and we spilt lollies through the car...

We got to Brisbane for the concert a few days earlier, explored/walked around and went through the shopping centre. Though, surprising me too, I bought a shirt, a few souvenirs and food throughout the whole trip. Go me :)

The night of the concert we were so excited, for both 5 Seconds of Summer and State Champs, when I heard they were the opening act I was so happy. Go 5sos, good choice. They both bands played amazingly, it was the most AMAZING night ever. Before the concert the crowd started a Mexican Wave, so that was pretty cool.  They played their new song 'Permanent Vacation'; I am so excited for their new album, which they said was coming out this year. This was the loudest crowd I have ever heard, when they said it was their last song, I couldn't even hear my own thoughts and during the encore it became even louder and by far was the best part of the entire show. It was truly fantastic.

However, my phones camera decided to pack it in, it still takes photos but the quality is now terrible, it is really old now though so it was bound to happen sooner or later. So, I ended up taking my old digital camera, which didn't have the best quality either, but hey, it was better than my phone. When I used I think it took people a while to figure out what it was because who uses a little digital camera anymore. Oh well, I still use him, especially when camping.

So overall it was a great time, I hope you enjoyed this post.
If you like 5 Seconds of Summer or State Champs or have been to one of their concerts let me know what you thought in the comments :)
Once again check out my Instagram and Pinterest, I think 10 of you have found me on both, which is great. Also there are 235 of you amazing people on Bloglovin' which is AMAZING,
    THANK YOU!!!
    Have a fantastic day/night
